Workmanship Guarantee Policy

1. Policy Statement

Bas Brick Works is committed to delivering high-quality masonry and brickwork services. We take pride in our craftsmanship and aim to ensure that all work is completed to a professional standard.

To provide our clients with confidence and peace of mind, we offer a workmanship guarantee on qualifying projects completed by our team.

2. Workmanship Guarantee

Bas Brick Works provides a 12-month workmanship guarantee on brickwork and masonry services carried out by our company.

This guarantee covers defects that arise as a direct result of workmanship carried out by Bas Brick Works.

Where a valid issue is identified, we will take reasonable steps to rectify the affected work within a reasonable timeframe.

3. What the Guarantee Covers

The workmanship guarantee applies to defects caused by:

  • Errors in bricklaying or masonry installation
  • Faults in mortar application directly related to workmanship
  • Issues arising from incorrect installation carried out by Bas Brick Works

Any corrective work will be assessed and carried out where the issue is determined to be related to workmanship.

4. What the Guarantee Does Not Cover

This guarantee does not apply to issues resulting from factors outside of our control, including but not limited to:

  • Structural movement of buildings or foundations
  • Damage caused by third parties or subsequent contractors
  • Natural weathering or environmental conditions
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Client-supplied materials that prove to be defective
  • Improper maintenance or alterations made after project completion

5. Reporting an Issue

If a client believes an issue has arisen that may be covered under this workmanship guarantee, they should contact Bas Brick Works as soon as possible.

Clients should provide:

  • The project address
  • A description of the issue
  • Photographs or supporting details where possible

This will allow us to review the matter and determine whether the issue falls within the scope of the guarantee.

6. Inspection and Resolution

Bas Brick Works may arrange an inspection to assess the reported issue.

If the issue is confirmed to fall within the scope of the workmanship guarantee, we will take reasonable steps to repair or correct the workmanship defect.

7. Guarantee Limitations

The workmanship guarantee applies only to the original work carried out by Bas Brick Works and is not transferable to other projects or unrelated work carried out by third parties.

This guarantee does not affect the client’s statutory rights under UK consumer law.
